How do you handle the barrage of offers?
When you first start your home-based business, you're excited - ready to put the word out there. So, you surf the net, looking for places to get marketing tips, advertise your product, promote your website, etc. You meet a lot of great people, some of whom are very helpful and even take you under their wing to coach you on some of the finer aspects of network marketing.
Here's my question: How do you choose WHICH people and which offers to pay attention to? Obviously, you can't focus your attention on all of them. You have to be choosy. You have to pick a few that look like really good opportunities to network and earn a profit.
How do YOU choose? What process do you use to decide which programs/sites are worthy of your time?
I'm very interested to hear some of your feedback!

Garnet,
That's a good philosophy. I'm really amazed at all the new "programs" out there that are "guaranteed" to make you rich. I've always been extremely suspicious of the ones who say they'll grow your business for you so you don't have to. Um, then what will I do? LOL!
I've met some genuinely nice and helpful people on this site and I'm glad I found it. I always enjoy interacting with other positive people. :-)

Hi Robin,
To me it's really simple. The people I pay attention to are the one's who are capable of having a real conversation. The programs I pay attention to are the ones that are either recommended to me by those people or the one's I seek out on my own to fill a need for my business.
