Somebody call Bruce Willis or at least Chicken Little, the sky may be falling!
It seems the US government is going to try to shoot down a bus sized satellite sometime next week. This satellite is carrying a toxic chemical that will kill people close by when it hits. So they are going to shoot it with a missile and break it up into itty bitty pieces! Sounds like somebody watched Armageddon one time too many.
For some reason I keep thinking about the show "Dead Like Me", watch out for those flying space toilet seats folks! they're deadly. I just want to know when they plan on doing it so I can avoid open areas immediately after the big boom.
But seriously I'm trying to figure out one thing. If this stuff is so deadly why did they send it up there to begin with?
Oh well it is the government we're talking about.

There's too many versions of what happened... That's a bad sign... News Wiki says that the satellite broke into about 80 pieces... What's up with that.. I'm looking around for more info..

Already this misinformation is there. We got two different versions which I was not exactly swallowing the "they burnt up on re-entry" anyway. Which is why I started with supposedly. Thanks for sharing something thats probably closer to the truth.

They are supposedly tracking 3000 pieces of debris... Hmmmmmmmmm... I wonder if we'll see a sky shower when that stuff hits... I really wonder why a satellite that was only 2 years old had to be shot down in the first place..
