Well, that was today.....
Today has been a typical day of mooching around and, basically, wasting my time.
It started early enough, at 3.30am, and hit a high immediately. I had had a resounding success with one of my clients and, because of that, he is now going to have life saving surgery.
I couldn't settle down after such good news so I decided to go for a walk. The dogs weren't happy about being dragged out of bed at 4am but, once they were outside, they soon got into the swing of things and, because I had no destination in mind, they were allowed to take me where they wanted to go.
Maybe I am doing something wrong, but the first place we ended up was a nice little bar just off an industrial estate. A brandy and coke and chorizos for the dogs later, we carried on to our local little stomping ground and watched the alarm and consternation we inflicted upon the local wild life - mostly rats and hedgehogs - though I did also see a badger.
We got back home just after 5.30am and I decided that pancakes would be a good idea for breakfast. Unfortunately I was out of flour so had to nip down the road to get some - paying about 50% more than I would usually have to pay.
After a hearty breakfast and a shared mug of instant coffee (my dogs are coffee haddocks!) I decided I was seeing well enough to drive the short distance up Sierra Gorda so the dogs could have their proper walk.
There wasn't much going on and it was quite cloudy so none of us really wanted to leave but, needs must when the devil drives - we went home after an hour or so.
Computer time.
What fun! I have been busily unsubscribing from many mailing lists and I only had 37 emails to look at. My client phoned me just after I had logged in to Yahoo! and told me he has arranged an open discussion on religion - and I had to be there. Something to look forward to so I made a note in my diary - not that he will let me forget!
All the emails that weren't personal ones were soon dealt with so I decided to look at todays' special offers (one only available for the next 30 minutes! LOL!!!) and Googled all the people who were making them. What a surprise - only two checked out. Doesn't THAT say a lot about internet marketing gurus? (Isn't it great how you can waste time and, somehow, convince yourself that it is work?)
Lunch time soon came around and I indulged in crackers and cheese (a lovely mature Gouda) while watching an old video. Actually, I was listening to the video - my eye did not want to know!
Later, after a couple of hours working on the Costa del Sol and Gibraltar gazettes while being mauled by two impatient dogs, I decided that a cup of coffee would be good.
As I loaded up my espresso machine, I noticed that I had left a note rolled up in the cup I use with the machine, obviously in the expectation that I would see it first thing in the morning.
Hey. Ho. 6-30pm and I had just found today's to do list!
Don't you just love it when that happens? ROTFLMAO!!!

Just plain honesty
Hi, Indrit,
In all truth, my dogs look after me.
Scamp, who I have had since a puppy, has saved my life on at least three occasions when I was in danger from hypothermia (something I am prone to because I cannot feel the cold) by lying on top of me when I collapsed.
Chap has only been with me for about eight months and already is aware when I am in danger of collapse - he has taken over from Abbie who he replaced as Scamp's companion.
Dogs are very sociable, pack animals and can beco

Forget the list, Arthur. You and the dogs had an enjoyable day, and that's
the most important thing! :-)

You guys have given me a heck of an idea for a project! LOL!
Hey, Cheryl and Coot -- How about about a Group called Best and Funniest Spam Titles/ Headlines of the day? :)
LOL!
I don't have any Group space left or I would do it myself... Maybe we could get someone who needs an idea for a Group? Members could 'Cut and Paste" their actual emailed Spam Titles for that day... and so on.

Sometimes fate decides our plans aren't what we need to be doing and throws something else at us. But all in all it sounds like you had an enjoyable day minus the spam e-mails!
