What does an identity thief look like?
If you ask the residents of Philadelphia PA they might tell you that ID thieves look like a young successful jet setting couple.
Police brought multiple charges against Jocelyn Kirsch, 22, and Edward K. Anderton, 25 including identity theft. It's estimated that their little foray into the criminal world netted them $100,000 this year alone, according to an article carried today by Yahoo news. A handsome young couple you really wouldn't suspect of being criminals.
An identity thief can be anyone. Rich or poor old or young. Police have arrested identity thieves in their 70's. The profile of an identity thief is exactly the same as the profile of an identity theft victim with one exception. The deceased may have their identities stolen but rest assured they will not be stealing yours.

Update-
Ronald Greenblatt, Kirsch’s attorney appeared on the Today Show with Meredith Viera and could not make any excuses for this couple. As a matter of fact in an in-attorney like manner he did not take exception to anything that was said about them. When your attorney doesn't start objecting to things right from the start you either

This should be a wake up for those who think an identity thief is either some teenage hacker with too much time on their hands or some guy sitting around in a stained undershirt hacking their way into your computer. In this case a "successful" and "respectable" young couple are the thieves Not the victims. This couple had keys to the apartments and mailboxes of everyone living in that building.
Identity thieves don't look like criminals!
