I Like Metallica - So What !
A few years ago, I was told that I was too old to be a Metallica fan.
Why should age make a difference to the kind of music one likes?
As well as Metallica, I like The Carpenters, Alexander Borodin's music,
and many other composers, groups, etc. I guess you could say my
tastes are eclectic.
Anyway, I found this video clip of Metallica with the San Francisco
Symphony Orchestra, and couldn't resist trying to put it into a blog.
Enjoy !

Hi Oposit,
Gotta say I don't like the new base guitarist for Metallica
as much as Jason. Really liked the way he played, but at least he was with them when they got their legend status recently

Hi Don,
Haven't played much music lately - too busy online, so
just played the Metallica clip and really enjoyed it.
Gotta get back into music!

This is one of my favorites from Metallica. I also love Guns and Roses' "November Rain" and "FreeBird"

Somewhere in the depths of my wardrobe, there is a pile of old vinyl records,
45's, EPs and LPs. They never get played and I've forgotten what's in there,
but maybe I should check it out!
If my turntable stylus dies, it's practically irreplacable though.........

I actually dug out my Essential ELO. I just love the blend of Rock and classical from them. I'm now looking around for more Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Haven't been listening to much music recently - no time, but went over to a friend's
place last week, and decided to play a CD on the way.
Great choice "S & M" by Metallica - who else? Anyway, really enjoyed listening
to it after all this time. Certainly reinforced my love for " The Call of Ktulu" my
all-time Metallica favourite. Also like "Of Wolf and Man" a lot too.
Gotta break out all those cd's again.........

Jean, this is Metallica with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra. Awesome music! I am coreographing this piece at the moment and performed the first part last Nov 4, 07 at a benefit for the YMCA. This is classical rock!!! When I first heard this piece of music I said to myself "God! I got to do this one...no matter what!" I asked the guy who was playing it who it was. He said "Metallica S & M... that's the name of the CD..." Awesome!

Thanks Fishie, I'm off to check out the videos/tunes and see what I think.
Might even remember them, when I hear the music.

I also loved a variety of music.
From Classical to punk... just no 60-80's country or show tunes -LOL

from Wikipedia -- Bad Company were an English blues rock supergroup founded in 1973, consisting of band members from Free (Paul Rodgers, Simon Kirke), Mott the Hoople (Mick Ralphs), and King Crimson (Boz Burrell). Bad Company was managed by Peter Grant, who had also guided Led Zeppelin to massive success. The band enjoyed great success throughout the 1970s.
I think these are their 2 most popular tunes:

Hi Lisa,
I like Cher as well. Among many other artists too numerous to mention.
Haven't found any Alexander Borodin stuff online with codes yet, but when
I do, it'll be on one of my blogs for sure. It's classical though - I AM eclectic. :-)
