Can you eat Chocolate and still lose weight?
I have been asked this question a few times because I wrote the 'Chocolate Diet'
The Facts
Losing weight is a matter of energy and energy use. This means that to lose weight we need to adapt what we eat and how much we eat and how much we exercise to find a way of shedding excess weight. There are many ways of doing this of course, which the sheer volume of diets available prove.
What has always eluded most of these diets is PLEASURE while losing weight. After many years experience I decided that it is time to find a way of losing weight that is also pleasurable and does not mean endless weeks of misery and doing without your favourite treats. Why have we not had this kind of diet before? ... Simply because nobody took the time to find a way of working it out and making it simple enough to follow and enjoy.
When people decide to lose weight they do need to reduce calorie intake ... this diet does that but it does it without taking out all the pleasures of eating something sweet and enjoyable. The diet is healthy & it does not make the mistake that many diets do .... YOU NEED TO ENJOY YOUR FOOD TO BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN WEIGHT LOSS .... It is all very well eating for example very low calorieraw veggies and fruit or pills and potions to lose the pounds when you need to but once you stop ..... the weight goes back on again .
Does it not make sense to eat enjoyable low calorie foods and eat some of the nicest foods each day and get into a habit of good control including a little of what you fancy? This is why the Chocolate Diet works ... teaching good healthy eating .... and including life long favourite foods. The result is fantastic weight loss that is on a par with any other diet and brand new contol in eating habits.
What more can you ask for in a diet?
I will answer that another time hehe

June, at last ! Someone has written a CHOCOLATE diet !!!
I love chocolate. ;-)
Have to admit that physical inactivity is the main cause of my
being overweight. That, and the lack of willpower to say "NO"
to cake, sweets, etc. You know how it is!
Oh yes, I promised Nina I'd read 5 blogs and tag them.
You have been tagged, and you are now "IT" :-)

Yes absolutely. Physical inactivity does make you overweight. There are many people like myself that have physical inabilitites 9 mine is arthritis ) Once over I could lose weight much quicker but these days because I can't physically do as much I have to rely on calorie reduction much more. My body doesn not burn off as much energy so a reduction of intake is necessary. I also work with foods that help to speed up the metabolism albeit slightly :)
Thanks so much for reading and commenting, it

I have yet to find food that i can blame for weight gain, however physical inactivity can do the job very well! :)
