Squidoo and You

In the last 6-8 months, Squidoo has become a giant in the world of SEO. 

What is Squidoo good for? 

1) If you don't have your own website, you can set up as many Squidoo lenses as you want and need to cover a whole range of niche topics.  You can even do a lens on each aspect of one niche.

2) If you do have a website or blog, you can use your lens to drive traffic to them.

3) A perfect way to build a mailing list.

4) A perfect way to promote a charity or other non-profit organization ... or your theatre group, or your concert group, or your dance group.

How do you get your Squidoo lens in the top ranks?

1) Add to and/or rearrange your Squidoo lens often ... at least 1-2 times a week.

2) Follow all SEO guidelines, such as text links, good keyword density, title and alt tags on links and images respectively.

3) Make sure your tags (keywords) are relevant and detailed.  You can adjust them as needed.

4) Lensroll and comment on other folks lenses ... it's like link exchanging ... drives traffic to your lenses.

5) Be involved in the Squidoo community, like SquidU.  Ask questions and share your knowledge.  Just like anywhere else on the internet ... become the expert and people will come to you!

Do not be shy with Squidoo.  It's a very flexible program that allows you to express yourself. 

You can also earn money with Squidoo by adding Amazon, Netflix, and a host of other affiliate companies that are already available for you to choose from.  No need to sign up with them - it's all done for you!  Same with Google Adsense!  You can take all the money or donate a portion to a long list of charities of your choosing.
