Leaving It All To Raise Goats and Tomatoes... The Inspiring Outcome Of An Excellent Decision

by Jeff Greene Online Marketing Specialist/Consultant

I was reading one my cooking magazines and I came across one of the most interesting stories...

This couple had been working in the corporate world for several years in the field of Marketing and Advertising and for a pretty big company, too...

They both had executive positions and made damn good money but their personal lives weren't the greatest-

Although they had met and married while working for this giant firm- their hours practically had them living separate lives...

They each traveled to different places separately at least three times a week for company business and their rare time spent together was mainly confined to company functions- like that company convention and stuff like that...

This could drive any couple apart- Imagine that a Giant was standing between you and your lover and there was no way to move him...

Well, finally the couple had enough of this and they called each other, she was in California and he was in South America somewhere, and agreed that they should quit the company-

He had always wanted to raise animals, and she always wanted to grow things- they owned a beautiful piece of property with aerable land and a nice home- (It must strange for the first few weeks for them to be at home together)

Well anyway, this had all happened about 6 or seven years ago and they are now top suppliers of some of the best goat cheeses and tomatoes to some of the finest restaurants in the World, not to mention the mohair fashions that big bucks folks spend good money for...

It's so common for us all to look at someone today, and make an assessment like- "They must have been farming all their Lives to get that rich!"-

- without knowing what the true story was... This couple had survived a Corporate Nightmare and now Nature is making it all better for them.

-- I have recieved a very good lesson from their story- We can adapt to the type of Lives that others may want us to have, or we can choose to create Ourselves and the Life that we want to have...

I do what I do everyday because I love my Life and my Freedom! Every Twist, Turn, Fortune and / or Mis- Fortune... It all happens FOR ME! Not TO ME... At every step of the way, this is my very own path- I claim It and I am responsible for it...

It's the only way that I can truly be happy with my Life. and my Work! :)

By the way, I've had some of their products and they were excellent! I am soooooooo very glad that they had made a decision to do what they loved- it really shows!

I saw an item on TV that was similar to what you read, I think it may have been about the same couple. It would take a lot of determination to make such a radically different change to one's lifestyle and succeed.

I am equally comfortable with Tech Life and Natural Life- I guess it's because of my upbringing-
I would love to return to the mountains and the plains of the Mid-West and I'm planning on doing so...

That's going to be one great day for me! :)

How could I miss this blog?

This is me!

I too have left the "own your own business" world to enjoy a much simpler way of life and I Love it!! I do not regret the decision we have made at all. Sure, there are times when the pennies are a little tighter, but learning to become self-sufficient is a treat all in itself. The journey alone is worth it! Better stop before I rattle on and on and on... Tops to you darlin'--great blog!
