It's The Little Things You Do That Count.

Something that happened this morning reminded me of the little things that count when it comes to nurchering relationships. How many of us get so caught up in our own world that we tend to forget the little things towards others that can be so important to our friendships.

Let me share with you a little something that happened to me this morning. I recently moved to the UK from California where I owned a Property Management Business. During that time I interacted with people in person and occasionally online. When I got married and decided to make this huge move most of my clients were not too happy as they trusted me so much with their investments.

I reassured them that it will all work out and sold my business and made the move. Since that time I really haven't heard from any of them. Out of sight out mind right? This morning I received a nice little e-mail from a previous client of mine who simply asked how I was doing and if I was enjoying myself.

What I realized as I read her e-mail was the fact she seemed to care and she showed that to me with this simple little e-mail. Of course I was not having a great day but after that e-mail it made my week! I meant something to someone. (maybe a bit drastic but that is how I felt at the moment).

I am guilty of this as well. Something so simple can make such a huge difference to someone else. As demonstrated here. In my reply to her I mentioned what I was doing and so forth. She e-mailed me back excited for me and said what ever it was that I decided to do she would love to see it and tell her friends about it.

Who knew? I never thought of it that way before. I never intended to give her a sales pitch, I was being sincere and without expecting anything in return. So remember to take a little chunk of time out of your day or week and acknowledge those around you not only does it feel good and it makes the other person feel appreciated but they also remember that little effort you put forth towards them. Your name may come up in the future just by doing the littlest things towards another person.

I hope all of you are having a great day!

Sincerely,

Denise
