The Penny That Doubled


I remember years ago, my brother, who loved testing my I.Q., approached me with this question. His question seemed to have a very easy answer.



The question was...baby sister, if you had a choice...would you take $1,000.00, in cash, today, or a penny that could double itself every day for 30 days?





Ofcourse, I thought quickly, give me the thousand dollars. I don't want a bunch of silly ole' pennies.



As most of you may have heard this story/ mathematical equasion, or you have been asked the same question yourself, I'm sure we all thought at some point or another, that a penny is not worth much. Well, true, maybe a few pennies, but what would happen if that penny doubled itself everyday for 30 days?

Truthfully, even after my brother gave me the answer, I did not truly believe it, after all of these years. I decided to take the time and prove it for myself. Well, I'm sure your great in math, and already figured it out. Since my math skills are not the best, I wanted to do the math manually. Take a look at this!

Day 2: $.02
Day 3: $.04

Okay, say you decided to take the doubling penny. Are you getting worried. We are at day 10, and only $5.12. That does not sound too good.

Now that I have started trying to work from home and build a business on line, I was beginning to think a few cents or dollars here and there, were not worth my time. As many programs do give you the great opportunity to build downlines, and even work some programs for free, I have come to realize the value of a penny.

Wow, I would have gotten the short end of the stick, if my brother had been serious about this. $1,000.00 versus $5,368,709.12 dollars..ouch!

Once it is duplicated over and over, Wow, a penny is not something to make too much fun of anymore.

My point, work hard, build your teams, no matter what business opportunity(s) you are involved in. Once your penny starts to duplicate itself, you could just be surprised how much earnings you have the potential to make! Nuture your opportunity, nuture your team and downline. Help them to repeat your efforts.

As proven above, it can be very well worth your time.
