More words of wisdom from KK
More words from my online friend K. Kaushal…..
“Okay , so I met Perry Marshall a few weeks back
We were talking about hmmm....what could we be talking about?......Google Adwords of course! For those of you who dont know, Perry is regarded as one of the leading experts in Google Adwords.
So I was talking to him about you guys, subscribers on my list...and I was asking him to give me info that I could pass on that would help my members.
Now Perry looked at me funny and said: "Kumar, you want me to give information away for FREE!??"
and I said, "Hell yeah Perry! My members want content! Now help my members by giving them something that they can go and test with their adwords!" (well I didn't say it exactly like that! :) )
I asked him what I could give to the beginners or people that have been doing this for time but aren't getting anywhere, that would help them with their adwords account.
...well Perry didn't open up much, but he went over a few things with me that I will go over now that won't overwhelm any of you. It's really the basic fundamentals when you have a campaign up:
First you need to look at conversion of your add (the click through rate (CTR))- if it hasnt got a decent CTR then you have to change ad. Now this is dependent on what you are marketing but remember that you are always trying to get a better CTR- make sure you are always testing 2 ads for the same keyword group. CTR's of 0.3%, 0.6% , 0.8% are no good- change your ad.
You should definitely test the Display URL as well constantly- use capital letters for the start of each word, try combinations of this.
Get 5 or 6 keywords to work first, and then build on that (i.e. get good CTR with them first and then work on expanding)
Preferably you want to create your own landing page for each separate keyword, this will build more relevancy when promoting products.
Have a separate ad for every separate keyword group- dont just plonk one add for all keywords- try and also mention the keyword in your ad.
Activate the "content network" on a completely separate but identical campaign. These are the adsense adds that people put on their sites. The way google works is that it constantly tests these sites to see their relevancy and constantly moves peoples ads around this network of sites until the conversion and relevancy is good for your ad.
If the site on the "content network" is not good, cost per click for you goes down as well. So your ad is constantly being tested on various content sites to see if your add will do any good their- pretty good huh?
Perry showed me 2 of his top ads:

A secret that coffee co's
don't want you to know.

I was scammed 37 times
These websites are absolute scams
I will tell you which ones are not

Tip: To study top ads, here's a neat trick: Open a gmail account! Then when you get replies to emails etc...and are reading them- on the side you have google adwords, now won't you agree that these adds must be pretty good to be placed here? They are top performing ads! Study them!
Read your ads out loud, they should have good rhythm and flow- Simple but effective stuff!
Okay, you can also test your URL (yes, you can also test what URL your company/site should have), you can do this in the same way as split testing, set up identical ads with different URLs. You can then see which ad gets clicked on more and whala!...you now know which name people like more.
Tip: if you wanted to test: www.computers.com, but its already taken, use www.-computers.com
If this gets better clicks, then it may be worth buying that domain from the person who owns it! Clever huh?
If you have conversion problems, narrow down to very clear, concise keywords instead of doing generic words (so target specialised keywords, e.g. instead of "cheap holiday", target "cheap holiday in Barcelona" or better yet "cheap holiday staying at the apsis atrium hotel in barcelona"....so you may not get a lot of traffic with these but your CTR will be huge!), forget about traffic at this point, work on conversion first!
When it comes to relevance, google rates in the following ways:
20% = landing page. If you can make separate landing pages for each set of similar keywords, your relevancy factor will go up. So what you want is maybe for the headline of your landing page to be similar or exact to the title of the ad you have or to contain the keyword you are targeting.
50% = whole website. Google looks at how content rich your site is, whether it has a site map or not etc...
30% = back button. Do people just click the "back" button when they click on your ad? If so your page must not be very relevant!...You want to keep your visitor on your site...attention grabbing remember?!
Remember:
Think like YOURSELF
Think like YOUR CUSTOMER (stories behind how they reached you, what must they be thinking?)
Think like GOOGLE
Overall meeting Perry was good, you have to understand that getting free information out of people is very rare, especially if they are renowned experts and already have a huge customer base.
I have found a great resource where you get very advanced content and real money making secrets ...no BS, nothing hidden, everything is given out-right....I'm working on getting you guys a sneak peak at this for literally pennies...(I really mean pennies)......and I dont mean a taster, I mean access to the whole resource.... and this resource is HUGE!.....Bare with me while I work on this...I'll get it, just you wait! :)
...I will be going over some other marketing techniques you can use over the course of these emails I am sending out, oh and not to mention the technique above I will give you an insight into that is allowing me to market ANY product in ANY niche, no matter how competitive, and is making me money continuously with it!
Thanks for listening and stay tuned! “
