I already knew that size and number of pages make a difference especially when the content is unique. I did not know the figures above though. They make very clear that maintaining your blog and to keep adding content, is time well spent.

One would have to be a lot more than a one man show to have over 100 unique pages of current interest, I'd say ! ... :)

The figures are based on single sites, most of which include many pages Some can be "hidden" and others always visible. Squeeze pages, special offers etc are counted along with blog posts.
The successes are also dependent on whether the company is a B2B or B2C company.
A 100 pages of content is NOT a major undertaking for a serious Marketer and can also be outsourced as several of my clients do.
I personally produce about 15-20 page a week of relevant content to my 4 major sites.
One easy way is using Content Curation, which has been discussed at length on our Talk Show.
There is an easy to use WP theme which handles curation and generates lots of leads in the various niches
