If you are wondering whether writing and distributing free eBooks are still worth doing here is a brilliant example from a company called HubSpot and some of the eBooks they giveaway.

I guess this only works if you really want to be seen as an expert in your field although I use mine to sell my ebooks and in the past have included affiliate links.
