Okay fair enough, but just give me a bit of time and I think you'll have a different thought process once you've went through this article.

(Oh and for interests sake - just click on the links as you go through the article or read it in it's entirety and come back to the links.)

Okay then lets move forward ~ You love it or you hate it - which is it?
Go ahead, answer the question...and answer it honestly!

By keeping an open mind during this article, you might just be surprised as to whether you do love it or hate it!

But only if you read it in it's entirety.

Just saying MLM will sometimes make people cringe with the thought.  Network Marketing, MutliLevel Marketing, or MLM all these are basically the same thing. The person in the network is an independent distributor for the program and products represented by the parent company.  Don't let misconceptions hold you back from making a decision to the route your thoughts take.  Then at the end of this article you can put it all together based on an informed decision, or at least you can comment and contribute your thoughts.

If you're an intelligent and reasonable person (which I believe most people are) you won't let your preconceived notions hold you back.  People will make snap decisions and judgments about this type of business and in doing so can be totally and completely wrong.

Something I read once ~ and it can be to your benefit to keep this in mind as well...
"Many an optimist has become rich by buying out a Pessimist"

There are a lot of negative things about MLM or Network Marketing, but just so you know the game has changed considerably on the internet versus off the internet.  For one is the "napkin" presentation ~ this has somewhat faded into oblivion.  The internet has brought MLM to the forefront and the promise of financial freedom to fruition with new technologies and systems.  It is enabling average people to enjoy a tremendous income while avoiding a lot of the hardships that usually took place in the offline world of MLM.

Some will tell you that once the income starts to flow, it's like nothing you've experienced before, it just keeps pumping out the profits, especially when you consider the world is your marketplace versus your state, province or city.  Your geographical location expands
considerably by marketing on the world wide web.

Some of the finest products, and the most reasonably priced products are marketed
through the network marketing vehicle.   If you just search the terms MLM, Network Marketing you will find a great many long term network marketing companies, along with some fresh start ups.  The reputable companies will not promise you instant riches overnight but some will lead you to believe that it will happen just by plugging into their system.  As you know becoming rich won't happen overnight, but with some companies it's easier and FASTER than you think.

And what makes it easier and faster for most, like myself is that I work with a team to
market and advertise.  Keep in mind that you really require great leadership within the team as well.  Leaders are people that have "branded" themselves that way first and foremost.  I won't go into branding here, as it is an entirely different subject all on it's own.

Good leaders and teams will show you how to earn income immediately, by using funded proposals in order to generate income that can be used to advertise yourself and your MLM program which allows you to build a passive/residual income that you can be proud of and that will be paid out to you for LIFE!

Growing a substantial income can be achieved within a few short years of working your business part-time just a few hours or so per day!  Again especially when you have consistent quality leadership and a positive action orientated team.

Just on a side note I work with just such a team,  And that team is ..............oh you can check them out here:
http://www.......=id
OH sorry ~ per the rules Article Contents should NOT be Blatant Advertisements!

When you are involved in a good MLM company they typically will offer everything you will ever need to earn as much as you want from your home internet based business even with zero experience.  Most of them, at least the legitimate companies have a proven wealth system that have been earning money for thousands of average people and paying them a profitable income for many years worldwide!

There are people that think they must make major changes in their when looking at MLM or Network Marketing.  However, major changes are often the result of a few small steps you can take to begin on the path toward changing your life for the better and this is why Network Marketing is available to anyone willing to step up to the challenge.

I have been through the MLM structure more times than I want to admit, with more companies than I care to remember.  But in saying that, it was always offline, and usually I was left on my own leaving me with a multitude of problems, troubles, and a lack of information to know which direction to take next; but I always knew it was a viable way to become financially secure.

Now with the internet and leadership of the teams I work with I have embraced it in a whole new way.  Before there was always the "get in now before everyone else does" attitude, with the meetings and presentations, that a lot of people weren't comfortable doing.  Now though, joining a program late in the game and being further down in the structure does not mean you can?t make any money, or fantastic money at that.

There are more and more people coming to the internet looking for ways to supplement their income, to earn extra money for retirement, or to enable them to live their dream lifestyle.  The new MLM internet way is a great opportunity for the millions of people looking.  The internet will show you why multilevel structures can be fair and profitable
for all.

The most advantageous part of Network Marketing / MLM is that it fills the need for residual/passive income through a growing group of affiliates or referrals that enter the business.  It's entirely possible that just within a few short years you could retire with a substantial recurring income that really took minimal involvement and investment on your part.  All you need to do is find the product, the customers, work with those customers
and you're in business.  Remember there are 100's of billions of people flocking to
the internet looking for this type of opportunity.

After your initial involvement your business will begin to take on a life of it's own as it continues to grow.  By being persistent your organization can grow into the hundreds and thousands that will help you grow a nice residual income.

Another great thing about MLM and the Internet is that your leads qualify themselves.
Every day people are searching on terms which may indicate an interest in the products you?re selling via MLM. Not only that, but every day there are people searching for "MLM opportunities" and these people are potential recruits for your business.

Within a couple of hours per day or say 10 hours a week out of the flexible time
you have in your schedule you could easily be making a nice profitable income from home.

Let's ask ourselves a few questions..........

Do you have multiple streams of income working for you?
Do you get paid multiple times for working just once?
Are your hourly or monthly wages (income) unlimited?
Does your income flow 24/7 - 365?
Can you give yourself a raise anytime you desire?
If your main income ceases, can you survive a year?

How long could you survive, and be honest!

Earning regular, passive/residual multiple streams of income from Network Marketing, MLM is smart and it works!  Just because you may have tried the other forms of MLM offline, don't pass this up.  Just because you may know someone who has tried in the past and it didn't work for them, doesn't mean it won't fit for you.  Maybe they didn't have the tools, or a valuable product, or the right system.  Don't slam your mind shut to this you might just like what you find.

Make yourself aware of the opportunities out there, they exist all over, if you're not sure where to look just read through this article again.  There is a lot of information and direction right in front of you.  Don't go through your life realizing you could have had anything you wanted if someone had just shown you the way.  I am showing you the way, just take some action and you can have all the prosperity you want.

People and teams can show you a specific system, but you have to be motivated enough to take the action required to get started.  You have to be committed, people will fail without
the action and the commitment.  The main reason for the failure is the minimal amount
dollars it sometimes takes to get started; as it's typically not much of a risk, so losing it doesn't seem so bad if they quit.  It becomes an easy in, easy out situation if there is resistance or if they come across something they don't want to do or don't understand.

The people that stick with this must be dedicated, and can be successful with the right combination of the following:
The right company, that has value and can offer value to you and your affiliates
The right product that offers value to you and your affiliates
The right marketing system, that works with little effort or time expenditure
The right leadership, one that has experience and a longer history
The right compensation plan, one that offers the potential for large earnings and
is residual in nature.

Now then I want to tell you about a few successful online multilevel marketing
leaders, teams and systems that I work with:

OH Right - we've already discussed these in quite some depth..........
Contents should NOT be Blatant Advertisements!

So then to summarize the key to the solution is:
Good products with proven track records, and excellent payout structures.  That said, one of the things you should look for in any MLM opportunity you?re considering, is a product which can be sold to people outside of the network. In other words, you should be able to make some profit simply by retaining non-affiliated customers, as opposed to requiring your down line to buy the products.  There are quite often lots of people that will use the product but are not necessarily interested in building the business aspect of it.

There is one final point I think you should consider.
What do YOU hope to achieve with any Network Marketing / MLM program?
Do you want to make money as fast as possible, then get out?
Or do you want to grow a real business for the long-term?

My recommendation is that you focus on the long-term, on the longevity.
Building wealth requires a commitment to long-range focus and to treat it as a business.

"There is no security on this earth ~ There is only opportunity"
~ Douglas MacArthur ~

What are your thoughts ~ could MLM, Network Marketing be in the future for you?
Would you consider it a viable option for building your home business?

Or is it still..........I've tried it before ~ forget it!

Man, I should claim the credits for this one, you make me do something I don't like at 9am, i.e. thinking. LOL

MLM, Network Marketing, some people will say it's not the same thing. Well, a rose by any other name is still... a rose.

Funny, I was approached by someone a few months ago, I told the person I don't like MLMs, which was true at the time, I wasn't in MP, the woman responded, very upset, "This is NOT MLM, it's Direct Sales!" Lord, I gave her a piece of my mind, politely, of course, showing her she was playing with words, she responded "Whatever..."

I destroyed a relationship full of potential. :)

@Philippe and everyone else that has made a comment regarding this subject, I thank you and would like to add;

In reality ~ if you really think about it ~ just about everything you do in business is either Network Marketing or MLM (Multi-Level Marketing). If you are not Networking or Marketing - You're not building a business!

Now look at the programs or opportunities you are involved in............are you looking..........how many of them are MLM or Network Marketing opportunities of some sort.

You can check out my RevPage - #1 GPT program - Get Paid Today and Direct Sales opportunities or programs are typically multi-level as well in some way or another.

Have a great week and think about this.
As well most of the links in this article will take you to Network Marketing / MLM opportunities or programs.

Thanks again for all the comments.

Thanks a bunch for being so candid about what MLM, Network Marketing really is. Many people join expecting to become rich over night, when in fact you have to do the work to earn the income. I truly believe in the networking model, having been in the mortgage banking area for over 25 years, I was always networking one way or another! Great read!

Philippe, there are difference between Direct sales and MLM M
marketing.

IMHO...
I sell horse barns to people who want them..that is direct sales.
I sell my CD's...direct sales
In the above cases there may be repeat or ancillary sales, But each sale is a stand alone event.

MLM sales involve continuity and Income generated from the efforts of others, which is the usual Attraction..

As you know I am a peddler...
Love to Direct Sell.

When looking at MLM opportunities I look at HOW much I can earn selling the product without the efforts of anyone else.
If it pencils and some have..I am interested

Thanks for this, Corey - pretty detailed, and worthwhile.
I agree with many of the comments here, and trust it's easy to say, yes, most all selling done IS direct, yet the exposure to an opportunity is what makes the difference. This is done individually or in multiple prospect settings, whether as repeat sales of product, service, or opportunity (duplication!), and all relationships are built through this.

And, the leadership of the organization, along with 'time in' (history of results), and tools available, help us choose what is best for us to work and earn with.

Yes, networking is everywhere!

Chuck, you were right to point out that I said it wrong.

What I meant is, that woman was selling a product which came from a MLM company. She didn't want to admit it was MLM.

I stand corrected.

I would like to point out something everyone who complains or hate Network Marketing. For one they should stop shopping in Chain stores and getting gas from shell, Exxon, Texaco etc. For the record they are all mlm, Network Marketing type businesses you may say they are not but I can prove you wrong!
ALL of the chain stores have multiple locations state way or worldwide, so do the gas companies and banks, All of them have a Main head Quarters wherein a franchisee or their gets there products form in who turn has their staff sale the product or service for that get paid either by commission or flat pay etc. I worked in retail 25yrs I been driving for 22yrs so I know it all they same networking type, of business.
Stop making excuse because the mlm company you were with scammed you or didn?t pay you right etc. Mlm/Network Marketing works.

@skycom, the article headline seems to say MLM is bad, but if you take time to read the article, Corey makes a case of saying there are legitimate companies out there. That you came here to comment proves the headline works, but after that, you have to take the time to actually see the points of the author before concluding everyone here says MLM is bad.

Come Philippe I already know that my point was a great number of people here or in general complain or talk bad about MlM/NetWork Marketing.

MLM or Network Marketing is just a business model and some use it, while others abuse it. If you can find a product with high demand sold at a price that is never inflated to cover the structure with a generous compensation plan, why would anyone not at least take a look? I don't care if you call it MLM or PQR or RTC!
