They said that in an announcement and on their official unofficial blog, yes they bought and own the domain but they don't manage it themselves. They said the web crawlers don't have enough input to work 24/7 because when there's an issue, unlike google's web crawlers, a coder has to take a look at it and inform the web crawlers on how to handle it.

It amazes me that people think running a search engine is an easy task. What business doesnt have trial and error when it comes to new concepts? As far as I am concerned Kooday have done everything they have stated and I will remain in the 1%. @kingdomi- How can they not have enough information as they are crawling the web ffs! Its full of it.Obviously you dont know whats involved with a web crawler especially one designed by themselves. Yes there will be errors and problems, even GOOGLE have a team of coders who have done exactly the same thing! Please people more FACT!! and less guess work!!

I know you hold a grudge against me but this was unnecessary. LOOK at this ( It's in the archives)... do i need to say more?

Web Crawling update for people who do not understand why our Crawlers have started, stopped, started, stopped, started, stopped, started...

Our Web Crawlers have tried to operate on their own but some bugs are still being worked out. A Crawler must be able to make its own decisions of what to do when it comes across content on the web, sometimes it gets confused and does not understand what to do next. When this occurs it stops and waits for human interaction. Our programmers must teach it to make the decision so that it does not stop. We are almost there. Cheers to our programmers!

@ P. Meklenberg: In case of issues the crawlers don't know yet what to do that's where the coders have to instruct the crawlers. I have no clue how they do that but that's not relevant. What the coders do is giving input. Remember the movie in which that robot asked for input the whole time ( 90's movie, I suppose)? Makes me remind of this lolol.

Tanks Lee for the respond and you right all that matters is FACT and that what I'm seeking and you right it?s not easy to start or run a search engine I now I have been running my own for the past 2 years. And ohh I know what?s involved with building a web crawler from the beginning there is some simple base line you have to follow the first and most important is the crawler has to read and follow the robots.txt on a domain or sub domain and the second rule is you have to tell how to disallow the crawler from indexing a domain or part of the domain.

Ex for my Crawler its.

Lol @ Kingdomi, I dont hold a grudge but i know whats involved with building a search engine using your own algorithm. As a start up concept where people own keywords is not an easy task and i think Kooday are doing a great job!! At least I am not out of pocket and I am making good profits every week (i have payout proof) and my keyword empire is growing.I wish every success to Kooday for the mammoth task they have undertaken and look forward to collecting my snapshot bonus!!
