@Louise Venison you must give your id no matter where you are on the internet and yes you need to use the same id all the time as that is the way to brand yourself (I have used the same id for over 12 years)- however this is exactly why you must use a different password for every site you have an account with. - if you use the same password and you join something that turns out to be bad so you leave or it closes suddenly - then they have your id and the password you used - these people can look for your id on other sites and try with the password you used for their site to see if they can hack in. ERGO - by all means give your ID and brand yourself with it but never give your password unless to have total trust in the person you are giving it to and that should be in cases where you are having some one working on your site and even then you need to be sure you think you can trust them.

Another example My clients know that I can access their accounts any time i feel like it as can any hosting supplier. however they know that I will not do that unless they ask me to or i find there is something wrong and it needs correcting immediately. example they added a script that allowed someone to add some phishing scripts - in a case like that i am not going to ask first i go in and delete the phishing script so their site is clean again. They get told after the fact in such cases. It is all about trust and networking is exactly the same you must earn peoples TRUST.

Skype is a great tool for communicating, but it can be easily abused . I agree with Oldbuddy, a simple click will delete the offending spammer forever. I like think it should be optional in the profile settings. At least you have a choice whether to use it or not.
