How do I get a banner to my site?

I have seen many people showing banners on their profile or on their Group's front pages.
I could not find out how they did it. I mean, it is not HTML here, so how can I add banners?

Just my opinion, but I would say you are better off not to do that. It doesn't get any good results anyway, so why not use attraction by posting Blogs or sending help bulletins instead?

You can do it under subject advertising/free advertsing. You can choose between a banner or text. For all pages the same so think before choosing.
