ME and my thoughts

Every discussion group I join has a wonderful description. Like my self, I started the Business Network on Cafemom - eh I am up to 19 members. The group is supposed to be about DIscussion, Networking, goals etc... It is mostly post and go ads that fill up space. We need to have groups where we can actually DISCUSS.

I am trying desparately to work from home. I don't want to fill out surveys and what not. And sometimes clammering for referrals just doesn't cut it either. Sometimes I want straight out post "somebody BUY something"! "Somebody please bid over 99 cents!" LOL I really might try that sometime.

I don't want to just see these groups with post and go ads. They all end up with them so the first two pages of subjects and threads are ads.

since I have been home with my son he has made tremendous strides in school even making the Honor Roll. He is autistic. I have had this opportunity to be here and I am taking it. I do telemarketing, but I wonder how I can develop that into a true business with REAL contracts with smaller companies as opposed to $20 an appointment or $20 per application.  I am damn good on the phone. I like it too which I know is weird but most people are ok and I have met some very nice people. I set appointments for Mortgage Protection in 5 states and Refinancing applications in CA.

I also just started selling on Ebay, the first two weeks was great. This weekend it was dead. I know its like that sometimes, but I want to do it so it pays the rent not the ebay fees. I know how to shopthe thrift stores but don't have a car so its usually a 1/2 day thing.  I have fears about doing dropshipping and of course no one will really say where they buy even thought here are thousands of people selling the same thing but everyone is so worried about competition. How do we know what wholesalers are not rip off arists overseas. In the summer I want to have yard sales  and possibly do the flea market. I love it, but I would defintely need a truck or van, there is no way unless I kick but on ebay.

i don't mind staying up and posting all night, but i don't was to flood the boards just the web. i blog, The World of Autism on Blogger.com and here. I am currently making flyers to distribute THIS WEEK to local businesses to see if they will place advertising on my sites or business listings (with Google Maps) Its like if I could just get 10 businesses right now to advertise I would be good to go it would give me a heads start. I am starting to build traffic on my sites so I know the ads would be seen. I know I could use some help with tidbits on my sites. Like drop down menus with the options being hyperlinked - UGH - Someone loading a Classified Ad Script and Forum to the site would be great. I have tried and just can't get it but I can't afford to pay anyone. I can trade advertising I guess.

So I just blurted all this out. My sites are listed below. You may see this post else where I think its came out ok.

Selling things for 99 cents may not be a long term solution, remember to sell your things at a price that can cover your costs and leaves some profit for you.

You could certainly grow a profitable business on eBay, just remember when you had sold something, set aside some portion of the profit to buy more inventory. Successful eBayers sell by the volume to beat the competitors. Read some books on eBay subject will help you too, I recommend a good book called 'The eBay Millionaire' by by Amy Joyner.

As for locating reputable oversea suppliers, you may attend trade shows to find them.

Wish you much success to your online ventures!

Eileen, you're right about Cafemom hon. Tim and I are Executive Directors with Melaleuca (we started the JUST CHANGE STORES TEAM) and we're earning a solid six figure income now. I host 5 different Cafemom groups.... and DAY after DAY I go in and delete SPAM ads... like they THINK when we see them posting the same ad day after day we will think they are a LEADER and can help others make money?!? Those ads honestly scream just the opposite...

Sad isn't it?!? Have you tried Direct Matches?
