Hope Magazine is proud to present our families' stories relating to special needs and professional article submissions. Our mission is to first raise awareness about special needs and foil preconceived notions about various special needs diagnoses and the families and individuals that live with them. I do not wish to push my beliefs or understanding on anyone. What is right for my child may not be right for yours. And what is right for yours may not be right for mine. I wish to remain unattached to any one ideology because of the diverse nature of the spectrum. Everything we choose to do or not do is impacted by so many things, home life (such as two-parent homes vs single parenting), financial situation, transportation differences, location, community support, available services, waiting lists and so on. The bottom line is that we all love our children. Whether we are parents, caregivers, aunts, uncles, siblings, teachers, administrators, therapists, celebrities or government officials. It is my belief our children were given to us as individuals for a reason. My unwavering hope is to bring awareness and understanding to all who wish to learn, to provide an avenue of sharing without criticism or condemnation, and to support other families when and where I am able. We are currently in the process of building our own professional service provider and business directory so our families can come to one place and find resources where they live. We are visited worldwide by others going through the same issues and having the same questions. We are a team of parents living with special needs coming together to provide support, resources and hope to others.
