I don't know about those doing it, but if i had to send the same ad to a dozen groups and only change the title enough to be recognised as a new subject by APsense software... I would feel absolutely desperate & embarrassed...

When i open APsense express and there are a dozen "ad posts" in a row, i can't help but laugh, surely a program like APsense is attracting serious (professionally minded) marketers who know better than this type of strategy...

For those that don't know, industry stats show that an ad needs around 8 exposures before someone clicks or responds (average)... But thats not 8 viewings in a row... its over time.

Of course the problem is, many of us have subscribed to multiple groups and when someone sends an advertisement - they repeat the same thing to multiple groups.

The simple and more productive solution here is to Post LESS, but post to a HIGHER niche group.

Don't just send your ad to a group because it says "Advertise Free". If you sell Bird seed, look for groups about birds... If you sell Garden Tools, look for groups about Gardening...

Be Professional in your approaches and you will receive stronger results.

I agree Eric & to top it off after they have pushed and pushed you ask for a view on something in return you are treated as if you have the plague! Hats off to you for posting this

This post is 3 years old, and all of the above mentioned still applies today, Apsense is not a market, it is a place where you learn and make business contacts.

Do everything in good taste. You may have the best product, but don't slap anyone in the face with it.

People often think if a program is popular it must be good so then they'll join. I'm quite skeptical about joining, especially something I have to invest in, since a lot of these are pyramids that top out & don't last.

I know as much as we all try to convince someone to buy what we have is what you honestly have worth buying? I began years ago not only marketing on the internet but building my products and services with SEO - As long as your in the top of the searches it saves you loads of time - I definitely don't have time to jump from one social site to another hounding people - Yes I post as I have time because what I sell works! Does what you sell work? If not - honestly if your not making money why do you want to sell that to someone else?

People are so eager to join free and get rich from it - Educate yourself with the net - Learn - Make contacts and your time will come - it is not get rich quick - it is work - lots of work!

The truth is people advertise the only way they know how. In todays economy for some that is all they are able to do. I am eliminating a lot of programs and lists because it is the newest market for sellers and I receive way to much email.

I am not saying it is the best way to advertise, but if you get a hit, simply by changing a word then you actually have achieved your goal. I do not advertise right now as I am just really starting over, but I am aware that the people in these programs are trying to sell their product and do not have any interest in what I am offering. Therefore, I am in this program for another reason, but just in case I will add a few revpages.

We are frustrated about how things are setup, but each person is different, simply delete the ad as you signed up for the group or list. As you are also on here trying to market a product, please have a little compassion and understanding. It does not matter how it is done as long as there are results. If there are no results I am sure they will try something else.

Business is a gamble for most and when you cannot afford to pay the big buckss for advertising then you try whatever a book tells you or you go on trial and error. That is life and to complain about it is not going to solve the problem.

So don't discourage people simply because it is not how you would do things as everyone needs to learn their way and at their pace. Just as long as it is not a scam and it is not hurting anyone. I can delete a message, but I cannot always get back wasted time or finances.
