Evaluations for the self employed

I thought I would share this with the group. My sister and I are independent associates with the same company. One of the things we have realized is that it's not a bad idea to periodically do an evaluation on each other. By doing this we can each point out to the other the things we can improve on in our business. But you don't need someone else to do this you can do it yourself if you are honest. I'd suggest putting together a checklist and going over it a couple of times a year.
1. Would you pay an employee for the work you do?
2. Are you consistent in your work habits?
3. Do you keep to a regular schedule?
4. Are you well organized?
5. Do you have a method of accountability?
6. Do you have your goals written down?
7. Do you have a plan to reach your goals?
8. If you work out of your home do you have an area that is set up strictly for
business?
9. How many new contacts do you make in a day?
10. Do you have scheduled times for follow ups?

Simply asking your self these questions and writing down the answers could show you where you can improve your business. If anyone has other things that could be added to the list pleas do so. This type of information can help us all to be better business people.
