A VA Loan, also known as a Veterans Administration Loan, is simply a guaranteed home loan. It is actually a guarantee to the Lender. The VA will guarantee that the Lender will be paid even if the buyer defaults on the loan.Since the VA does not actually lend the money it cannot guarantee that any given buyer will qualify for a loan.
