Introduction:Soap was the first surface active agent used in very crude form.The use of soap or the same natural soap cleaning agents has always been associated with the man's inherit instinct to keep his body clothes and washable belongings clean. The important natural agents usea either were wood ash, rice stock and some saponaceous alkaline. Because their aqueous solutions have many surface active properties a/on common, lowering of surface iterfacial tension, wetting, foaming, and emulsifying etc.The of such properties is governed by several factors like structure agent, concentration, and temperature of solution and presence of certain additive.
There are two types of surface active agents:
1.) Household detergent used for cleaning and washing of clothes,dishes, body.
2.) Industrial detergent used cleaning floor, walls, and heavily soil surface.
#SELECTION OF RAW MATERIALS:
The soap makers require a mixture of fats, an alkali and contain addictives for the manufacture of the desired kind of soap.Availity and price are variable factors and the fluctuations in the prices of alternative materials will also govern their selection.
#Selection of oil
Since the oil and fats from nearly 60% to 70% of the final product,laundry and toilet soap constitute the major bulk of the total scap manufactured in the country.
#Selection of Builders
It should be noted that soaps prepared from well chosen oil-based may not require more that 5% builders.
#Selection of fragrance
The toilet soap has to be heavily perfumed than laundry soap. 2.0% to 3.0% the final perfumed to be employed is blend with the main constituent modifier and fixatitives.
