Size : Chimneys come in majorly two Sizes - 60cm (~2ft) & 90cm (~3ft). Some rare models also have 75cm options. So first priority must always be 3ft if enough space is available in your kitchen. Only in case of less space, you must opt for 2ft, because the price difference is not much. Also, if you are using a 3 Burner Cook top, you must use 3ft Chimney.

Power : Chimneys now majorly come in the range of 1250 - 1500 m/hr Suction Power. Earlier in Filtered Chimney, it used to be max. 1100 m/hour. But now with Filterless Chimney ruling the market, 1250 - 1500 m/hr is sufficient. So if you are using more Oil and doing heavy cooking, better go for a higher power like 1500 m/hr, but for average Indian Kitchen 1250 m/hr is good enough.

Look : It is a complete user perspective of which Chimney fits in your Design Scheme. Majorly Chimneys come in Curved Glass, Straight Glass and Box Shaped with Auto opening front Panel. Curved Glass Chimneys are available from beginning and most popular since past 5-10 years. Same thing with Straight Glass but recently with extra features they have become more popular. Chimneys with Auto Opening Front Panel are most sought after these days, if your Budget allows. But functionally all the above shapes of Chimneys are same.

Warranty : Almost all Brands now offer Lifetime Warranty on all Chimneys barring few lower end Models. Definition of Lifetime Warranty is usually 7-10 years. And this Warranty covers the Motor inside and the Display Panel. Service Warranty is for 1 years, where no service charge will be taken for any problem before 1 year.
