Product Introduction
BMW OPS can work up to 2009 BMW models. For old models before 2006 you can use BMW GT1(click this link). Both GT1 and OPS have to work with the laptop IBM T30. BMW OPPS is 10% better than BMW OPS, for BMW OPPS please (click this link). For the latest BMW models after 2009 please choose BMW ICOM ISIS ISID A+B+C, please (click this link).


Product Details
OPS is mainly used for diagnosis and programming BMW vehicles after E65 series .
OPS unit with DIS software is used for diagnosis, which is carried out via OBD-II socket .
OPS unit with SSS software is used for programming, which is carried out via OBD-II socket and MOST socket .

Optical programming system (OPS) for programming vehicles is handled in exactly the same way as the OPPS.
The connection is effected simultaneously to the OBD II socket and also to the MOST fiber-optic access in the vehicle. The connection to the workshop network is effected via network cable to a free network connection.
Like the OPPS, the OPS does not have an air interface, as the high bandwidth required for programming can currently only be achieved by means of a cable connection

Features
On vehicle models from the E65 on, BMW is for the first time using fibre-optic cables as standard for communication between control units.
The optical buses are notable for their high data transmission rate and they are not susceptible to electromagnetic interference.
