When I first started marketing on the Internet in the spring of 2000, I was about as dumb as a box of rocks when it came to telling the bonafide opportunities from the scams. It wasn't quite summer when I got scammed for the first time, and let me tell you, that taught me a lot. I had always had the seeds of a home business in the back of my mind, and this experience set the seeds to growing exponentially. I decided that I would base my business on the concept that new small business owners, both on and offline, needed no-nonsense advice concerning marketing solutions and avoiding the many, many scam artists that operate with impunity on the web.

So, I started building on that idea, and so far, I have devoted my time to researching all the so-called business opportunities and affiliate programs that it seems everybody is advertising on the Internet. I have found that most of them aren't worth looking at, at best, and that some are downright schemes that suck you in with promises of incredible income, when what they really do is make the owner incredible income (off of you).

Eventually, I plan to open a marketing consultancy, because we all can use some help with marketing at one time or another. I consider establishing myself in various communities paramount to this effort, since it is true that it isn't always what you know, but who you know. I hope to learn a lot from you, and maybe pass along some of my knowledge at the same time. After all, this is what the Internet is for, is it not?

I want to be able to help people like myself, and prevent others from being scammed like I did my first time out. I have seen good programs and horrible ones, and I can give you some insight into how to tell the difference (90% of the time). I am always available to give a helping hand or a little advice. I have seen a lot come and go in the past seven years, and I have made note of things to avoid, as well as things to look at a little more closely. I have acquired many marketing skills through trial an error, and I can tell you what works, and what may be a big waste of time.

I have also managed to find a few legitimate business opportunities and affiliate programs on the Internet. None require an huge initial investment, most are free, the commissions are reasonably good, and the products are quality items that people really need or want.
