Your Next Car Dealership

by Kevin Smith Author

If you're in the market for a new car or truck, you'll want to get your ducks in a row before you start shopping. Do you have a brand of car in mind? A style of car in mind? What is your budget? It's helpful to make a list of nice-to-haves and must-haves before you begin shopping as well. The next step is determining what dealership you want to buy from, if you're going the dealership route. There are a few things you'll want to take note of as you visit dealerships to determine if you want to go back there to buy a vehicle. For instance, if you're comparing Buick truck dealerships near Tulsa, you'll want to compare the following things.

Friendliness

While you would hope that every car dealership is friendly, welcoming, and helpful, it's not always the case. You'll want to feel out the dealerships that you visit and find one that you can tell really has your best interest in mind. If the car salesmen you're working with is in a big rush to get your out test driving a vehicle without really listening to what you're looking for, it could be a red flag. Other red flags could include upselling cars that you've specifically said you're not interested in and simply not listening to your want and needs, while leading you to cars out of your price range.

Deals

Check out dealerships in your area for deals that they may offer. Some deals may include warranties built in to the price. Others may offer special pricing during certain times of the year. Or, maybe they offer you upgrades on models you're looking at for a discounted price. Whatever the deals may be, always be on the lookout for how to get the best bang for your buck.

Atmosphere

The second you walk onto a dealership lot or into the dealership office, there should be a feeling of comfort and trust. You can tell quickly whether it's a place you want to spend your time. If you decide to get a warranty with the car you purchase, you may be spending time there when you need to get some things fixed on your new set of wheels. Make sure it's a place you don't mind going back to. Maybe even check out the coffee in the waiting area--just kidding, but sometimes that really matters to people!

Competitiveness

If you're comparing Buick truck dealerships near Tulsa, you'll want to check up on their competitiveness and professionalism as well. If they're willing to negotiate and do so in a professional way, you're well on your way to finding the car dealership you've been looking for.
