Your Guide in Getting your New Kitchen Organized

by Brode Rick Content Writer

Organizing a kitchen is one of the most important activities while setting up a brand new or newly renovated kitchen. Now that you are given a chance for a fresh start, doing so can help in streamlining all the kitchen activities and make your kitchen look neat and tidy. All you need is determination, knowledge, time and a bit of ingenuity.

Follow below mentioned steps to make your kitchen look organized and systematic.

Step 1:

Toss everything that you don’t use or if you have more than one of the same item. Pass it on to your relatives, friends or neighbors. You can also put it up on a sale or give it away in donation or charity. If the items are of no use, do not hesitate in disposing it off. Ensure your kitchen is not cluttered with useless appliances or things which are of no use. If you don’t get rid of it, you will have to hunt for space to accommodate it.

Step2:

Replace all the products which don’t work. If the handle of the pan is broken fix it, if the spout gets clogged up replace it during the renovation, if the blender is making too much noise search for another alternative. This can be applicable for all other appliances and kitchen ware. Fixing or replacement is essential while getting your kitchen organized.

Step 3:

Create easy to access spaces for frequently used objects. Try and notice what you use most often. At the same time figure out a place where you will use it the most. Infrequently used items can be stored outside the kitchen, on the top most shelves or the back of the cabinets. They can even be stored in boxes under the bed, in the attic or in the basements. However, make sure you create an inventory list that helps you remember where you have stored for iem. Make sure all your kitchen items are at the right place and deserve the space they take up.

Step 4:

Create a center for all day to day utensils. This will help in quick cleaning, searching for objects and cooking. Also remember to keep the cleaning can and disposal bin centrally located to facilitate quick disposal. The ideal place to put these is in the food preparation and cleaning areas.

Step 5:

Clear your platform and counter. Pay serious attention in reducing the number of objects on the counter. Avoid storing them there permanently. Since it’s your primary workspace, frequent cleaning is required. Keep only those objects that are of frequent use and need to be available quickly.

Step 6:

Continuous cleaning is a must. Your newly renovated kitchen gives you a chance to change your day to day practices in how well you maintain the space. Make sure that you use this opportunity for your benefit. Clear all your shelves and drawers regularly to avoid a huge mess later.  Cleaning a little all the time makes it easier in the long run where you no longer need to worry about piled up dirt.

Organizing your new kitchen Newcastle is not as difficult as it may look. All you need is a plan and a way to follow it. Once you have that in place, running a kitchen in an effective way will be a cakewalk.
