However, the soft-skinned baby has a highly sensitive immune system that requires you to practice good hygiene. It is essential to keep your baby healthy and happy always. Here are a few hygiene practices that you must adopt to keep your baby away from illness.

Keep the surroundings clean

It means you should keep your house clean. However, it doesn’t mean that you have to clean your house from top to bottom with phenyl or disinfectants. You just need to pay particular attention to the areas that may harbor bacteria and germs. Pay attention to the areas that have lots of contact with foods and hands. Bathroom, kitchen and bottles to feed the baby are what that should be cleaned properly.

Hot water with detergent should be used the clean the bottles, and a good disinfectant works well for bathroom and kitchen. In addition, door handles and your baby’s clothing and bed requires special attention.

Keep toys clean

Babies like to put things into their mouths, and toys are the closest things that get into their mouth. So be sure to keep the toys clean with a good disinfectant. Wipe the plastic toys down with damp cloth and make sure to rinse them thoroughly. To be on a safer side, use Secure-A-Toy to keep the toys at place and within the reach of your baby to avoid falls and contamination. In addition, it also secures the toys in the hand of your baby so that you don’t have to come each time to give the fallen toy back to the baby.

Baby’s food

A small baby has a very sensitive immune system so there is a high risk of contamination. Feeding with improperly clean bottle can contaminate baby’s food. So, your baby’s food should be prepared in a clean environment. Bottle Buddy with protection kit is the right thing that you should bring to ensure hygiene of your baby.

Finger nails

These areas require special attention when it comes to maintaining hygiene. Regularly cut your baby’s finger nails to ensure they don’t scratch their skin, which may also lead to infections. The best time to do it is when your baby is sleeping. Use baby sized nail clippers so that it doesn’t hurt your baby.

In addition, pay special attention to eyes, ears and nose of your baby to keep it clean and avoid infections.
