To maintain this one-of-a-kind event, the Reno Air Racing Association Board of Directors collaborates with a small full-time staff and several volunteers. Every year, staff employees manage the many intricacies required, starting to arrange for the following event before the current one is over. More than 1,200 volunteers assist with event timing and scoring, course safety and security, event sequencing, and air traffic control.
