Why Plastic Pressure Sensor and Transmitter are preferred in Chemical Industry

by Cole Michael Industrial Equipment Analyst

During the industrial process when companies call for a plastic pressure sensor or plastic pressure transmitter it is due to the corrosive chemical liquid flowing through the process pipe and contacting the pressure sensor or pressure transmitter. The corrosive chemicals can clog the pressure sensor or pressure transmitter that’s the reason chemical processing industry is shifting towards plastic pressure sensor or plastic pressure transmitter.

Level Pro is a leading manufacturer of plastic level transmitters, plastic level switches, plastic tank level sensors and they have produced a market-leading plastic pressure sensor and plastic level transmitter.

The LP200 plastic level sensor and plastic level transmitter cater to all of the acid and caustic applications in the industrial market space. It is offered by Truflo the company that makes it in PVDF, and PP materials and it is also offered in ½” and ¾” PP and PVDF process connections that will mount the LP200 plastic level sensor and plastic level transmitter directly into a plastic pipe.

When the customer is looking for a solution to monitor their pressure with a plastic pressure transmitter or plastic pressure sensor then they should be looking at the LP200 plastic level sensor and plastic level transmitter. With a simple plug and play design it threads into a tee fitting on the chemical acid pipe and provides the client with a 4-20mA output that will take the reading of the chemical pressure from the LP200 plastic level sensor and plastic level transmitter and communicate that to a local or remote display.

It can also communicate directly to a proportional control valve, VFD, pump or SCADA system by the universal 4-20mA signal that the LP200 plastic level sensor and plastic level transmitter puts out. It will also provide the chemical skid manufacturer with a chemical plastic level transmitter or plastic level sensor that has a quick disconnect on the electrical. So if any end user needs to replace it due to an electrical issue, then they simply remove the M12 electrical connection.

These are the few reasons behind the preference of a plastic pressure sensor or plastic pressure transmitter by chemical processing companies. Chemical processing industry is really satisfied with the outstanding results of the plastic pressure sensor or plastic pressure transmitter.
