Why Netflix So Popular Over Other Video Streaming Apps?

by Tarun K. Love Travel

Well, it was not very long ago, when Indians got the first glimpse of Netflix. The tantalizing after-taste was simply too good to be ignored. Thus, suddenly everybody was watching content over Netflix and all the other major video streaming channels began losing popularity. YouTube came under the scanner and a huge load of pirated and illegal videos were removed. Many websites such as Mediafire and Torrents were also wiped away from the internet. There were very few channels left to enjoy good quality content and most of them came with annoying ads.

Slowly, people were left with very few good options for quality entertainment. That was the time when the brand adored by millions who came and became loyal. Now, all the people that love online entertainment have Netflix subscription offers in India. Let us explore what ‘extra things’ made the brand this much popular that people actually do not mind to pay for it.

1. Quality that is unbeatable for sure:

We used to be happy with the pirated prints of movies and TV Series. But, once we experienced what an ultra-HD quality movie looks like, we never looked back!! All the videos, movies, TV Series and originals provided by the brand are simply too good. From enhanced picture quality to life-like graphics. things improved drastically. The viewers can just not get enough of ultra-HD videos and don’t want to switch back to the old channels.

2. Content is Awesome!!

The downright awesomeness of all the content produced under the originals banner makes it the king of entertainment. People are simply drooling over the themes, plots, acting, characters and overall representation. Shows like Sacred Games, Ghoul, Russian Doll, Stranger Things and many more were aces in every manner. People were bored with the daily soap operas. They wanted some fresh content that was according to their tastes and could intrigue them.

3. Changes in the Consuming Population:

The current population in India that consumes the video content is young. The youngsters have access to the internet and have developed their preferences in everything. They know what they want to watch. They love to experiment with their taste in entertainment. They don’t find the typical ‘saas-bahu’ dramas any better. Hence, the Netflix subscription offers India are something they swear by for entertainment.

The different content from different countries and ONLY quality-oriented stuff simply makes them a fan of the brand.

4. Short entertainment which is big on impressions!!

Not everyone has the luxury of time to watch a long movie of 3 hours. Not everyone likes to watch songs in the movies. Further, the trend of both working family members, led to busy schedules. Hence, instead of watching long movies, people watch short episodes or short films. They can watch an intriguing tale and get paramount impressions in just 20 minutes. In fact, the short films and TV series with episodes of 40 minutes or so are much favored!

5. Sequels and Runs are not tiring:

Most of the TV Series and shows are produced in batches. This means that there will be different seasons and each season will have a fixed number of episodes. The seasons will be aired separately with many months in between. Hence, people will stay hungry for the cliff-hangers and plot twists.

Further, the regular TV Shows that are telecasted on a daily basis and run for 3 or 4 years continuously get boring. The storyline becomes hazy and deviates from the central idea. We can bet that if GOT was run continuously without seasons, it was bound to lose lustre. It was just because of the seasons, that the show got so popular.

These are some reasons that have led to the unparalleled popularity of Netflix. So, are you going to join the league?
