by Annnu Paon CEO
It is often discussed that the use of HTML and CSS is now obsolete or should be limited and there are still many experts who believe that they matter and should not be thrown away. They are very much relevant to designers and they are the design tools which should be used. But then the important question comes why is that? What is it that the CSS or HTML will provide that the other options won’t and how are they beneficial?

This article will talk about certain things that will make the importance of the use of these languages clear.

They are the foundation: Many of the templates for WordPress still uses CSS and HTML. The designers work on many different aspects like sketches, photoshop, and many such tools but they do not realize that these are all peripherals they are all the start of the journey and not the end. What a website requires to stay strong is the use of something which has the ability to hold all these features. You can be a developer or deep into the development business you will be required to acquire knowledge of HTML and CSS as it is absolutely necessary. This could even be the basic knowledge but a must for the process.

Before we move further let’s understand a bit about HTML and CSS. HTML stands for Hyper Text Mark-up language. This is a language that is used to structure and then present the content on the web. It has the ability to hold on to the new requirements. It is capable of creating mobile rich content and retains all of its features. It is thus one of the best choices for cross-platform use. It comes with the latest support and which shows that browsers on PC or any other devices easily run using the language.

CSS is Cascading Stylesheet and is known as the language of the web pages which provides power to the designers suggest how the document should be styled. It is a very logical divide between how the structure of the webs should be and how it should look. CSS is more about appearances and is known as the language that influences the front-end of the web designs.
Benefits of the languages

Page ranking: If the page uses non-standard codes and is unreadable then it will not enjoy the ranking it should. There is no other way in which the code can be compromised and thus the importance of the languages comes into play. They follow the standard coding which is in consistency to the demands of the search engines that ensures that the website enjoys higher ranking.

Cost-effective method: The same codes batch can be used across platforms which makes it easy to develop and at a low-cost. This enables you to use the saved resources in many other ways making the website attractive and functional. Think of the LinkedIn which is considered a great app due to its features and functions and guess what it is not an app but a website which works perfectly well on the mobile devices using the best codes possible.

Offline browsing: There are many apps which can provide an offline service similarly the use of HTML can provide the web supplications an offline support to the readers. They can easily allow their users to use the website without internet connection keeping them connected. This creates performance enhancement which makes the content accessing quick.
