Why do you read Newspaper?

We need to read newspaper because we need to gain information and updates especially the current news and weather. We can develop our knowledge especially encountering new words. I was used to read first the sports pages. Sometimes, I read first the headlines and update the weather. Here are my pages that I read according to my ranking.

1)      1) Sports pages – This is my favourite page that I read because I am avid of basketball. I was to update National Basketball Association or known as NBA. My favourite NBA team is Chicago Bulls. Former Rookie of the year Derrick Rose is my favourite player and NBA legend Michael Jordan in NBA. Sometimes, I read PBA or Philippine Basketball Association and Philippine National Team. I am also fun reading the world tennis especially my idol legend Pete Sampras and Rafael Nadal from Spain. Golf, billiards, chess, football, boxing, track and field’s are some sports that I read. I am really loved to read the Manny Pacquiao because he was the best pound for pound in boxing. I admire him as richest boxer and sportsmanship.

2)      2) Weather – I was used to read the weather because I want to know what weather is for today and tomorrow. The weather in the Philippines composes of sunny, rain showers or even storms. In other countries, the weather is also sunny, rain showers, thunder storms, snows and tornadoes.

3)      3) Entertainment – I was use to update the entertainment especially the local and Hollywood stars. I read also new movies that show in cinemas. My favourite Hollywood stars that I read are Jim Carrey, Jennifer Lopez, Jennifer Aniston, Will Smith, Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker, Owen Wilson and John Travolta. In Philippine entertainment, my favourite idols are Gary Valenciano, Vhong Navarro Mikey Perz and Kaye Abad.

4)      4) Business – I was used to read some currency rates especially the peso, euro, yen and dollar rates. The growth of world market is update in business. Business page has information like cell phones, cars and real estate.

5)      5) Headlines – This is the last page that I read because there were more bad news. Bad news includes economic crisis, natural disasters, oil price hikes, politics, wars and others. In the Philippines newspaper, Most were talk about politics like corruptions. I hope Philippines will focus on sports like boxing which is a popular and Olympic sport. I am dreaming of the first Olympic gold in boxing because it sounds like a good news to all Filipinos. Sometimes, headlines can have good news such as achievements and awards.

There are some pages that I read such as clothing or style, comics, horoscopes and even solve the puzzle. Health pages are also important to read because we used to have a good health and learn health tips from columnists. Classified Ads page is another important for job seekers who were seeking to find a job. Buying and selling products are included in Classified Ads page. You can also learn some tips on how to write resume and application letters.

We must love to read newspaper because it provides us more information, knowledge and updates.
