Once a Shiva devotee starts a journey to Kedarnath Dham from his village. In the ancient time traffic facilities were not available there, So he had to go on foot. Whoever got along the way, He asked them about the way of Kedarnath Dham. There was Lord Shiva in his mind. He passed many Months by walking continuously. Eventually one day he reached Kedar Dham. As you know the doors of the temple in Kedarnath opens for 6 months and 6 months remain closed. He reached at the time when the doors of the temple were going to be closed. He told the savant of the temple that he has come from very far away after a long journey of the months. And prayed to Pandit Ji, Please open the doors so that he can see Lord Shiva. But it is a rule of Kedarnath Dham, Once doors go closed couldn’t be open. The rule is the rule. He cried so much. He prayed Lord Shiva in his mind for opening the doors only once. He was also praying for everyone, but no one listened to him.

Pandit Ji told him that doors will open after six months so please come here after six months. 6 months remain very cold here due to heavy snowfall. After that, all the people went away from there. He kept crying there. After some time became dark. But He believed that Shiva will surely grace and help him. He was looking very hungry and thirsty too. Meanwhile, He listened to a slow voice and felt that someone is coming slowly there. Then He saw A monk came there and sat next to him and asked - My son! where did you come from? Then devotee told him the whole story and said I came here in vain. Baba Ji explained to him and gave him food too. Then they kept talking to each other for a long time. Baba Ji got pity on him. He said, “Son, I think, the temple will open definitely in the morning. And I am sure that You will do the philosophy. During this conversation, he got to sleep. His eyes open in the morning. He looked BabaJi everywhere, but He was not present there. Before he could understand anything, he saw Panditji is coming along with his entire circle. He saluted to pandit and said - yesterday you said that the temple will open after 6 months and no one will come here in the meantime, but you came in the morning itself. Pandit Ji looked at him and tried to identify, then asked - Are you the Same one who came here 6 months before When temple's doors have been closed? And come back again as 6 months passed! Devotee replied with surprise - “No", I did not go anywhere. It was Yesterday you met me at this same place. I slept here in the night. I did not go anywhere”. Panditji got surprised very much.

Panditji told, But I had gone 6 months ago by closing the door and Today I come 6 months later. How can you stay alive for six months here? Pandit Ji and the entire circle were shocked. How can a single person live for six months in such a cold? Then the devotee told them about the meeting with the monk and all the occurrence, that a monk came here, He was tall, His hair was long, had a Trishul in one hand and a Damru, in one hand and He wore Mrag Shala. Listening to it, Pandit Ji and everybody fell at that man’s feet and told, We spent our life in service but could not see the Lord. You are the true devotee, You have actually seen Lord Shiva. He is none other than Shiva who converted your 6 months into one night and made such long period into small. All this has happened just because of your sacred mind, your faith and trust in God. We salute your devotion.
