by Rahul Kumar Think Sharper

Summer Training and Summer Internship, both are an integral part of an engineer’s life. Engineering colleges and universities have made summer training as a compulsory part of their degree. But same is not the case with summer internship; as it is not a compulsory part of engineering course curriculum.

Let’s have a look at both of them in detail. The summer internship is an opportunity for students to get some kind of work experience related to their field before getting a full-time job. In summer internship, students are not given the same salary as the permanent staff, but they are given a stipend. It is usually for a fixed length of time. Even Undergraduates, as well as graduates, can apply for a summer internship to gain work experience.

In summer internship, interns work under the experienced individual and get necessary skill and experience which is required to work as a full-time employee. Summer training is important for an engineering student to enhance their technical skill and capability. Summer breaks are the best time for students for upgrading and learning latest technologies. In Summer Training, students work on live projects to learn the advanced technical skills.

The course curriculum of summer training is designed to meet industry criteria. The best thing about summer training is that students get trained by industry experts who help them in every possible way to clear their doubts and queries. After the completion of the summer training students also gets training certificate and this training certificate works as added advantage for students during their project work and placements.

The companies which provide summer training also assist their candidates in searching their dream jobs. As a fresher, both summer training and internship are significant as both can increase your chances of bagging a good job. However, one cannot say that which is better summer internship or summer training as both have their own importance. It all depends on students skill, education, and interest. Even though, training and internship are different in their own ways both provide useful learning to the participants.
