The Washington State Lemon Law is created to help new-vehicle owners. These are the consumers who have continued problems with warranty repairs for substantial defects. 3 - Dispatch the manufacturer a written request to buy back or replace your defective vehicle as part of your Lemon Law claim.

The manufacturer has 40 days to respond after getting your written request for a buyback or replacement. 

Irrespective of the 40-day reply period, a request for Arbitration must be received by the Lemon Law Administration within thirty months of the original purchase and delivery of the vehicle.
