What to Pack for Weekend Trips in Georgia?

by Kevin Smith Author

Weekend trips in Georgia are a great way to let off steam after a long work week, reward yourself with a solo vacation, or even to pack up the family for a couple days of nonstop fun. Whatever the reason and whoever you’re taking with you, here are some things you’ll want to bring along.

Golf Clubs

Georgia is a great place to do some golfing. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or you don’t know the difference between tee time and tea time, Georgia is a hotspot for amazing golf opportunities. But if you didn’t bring your golf clubs or you’ve never golfed before, this southern state is a great place to learn.

Good Walking Shoes

Most places you go in Georgia are highly walkable. The views are to die for so walking around is something you’ll definitely want to do to take in the sights and be up close and personal to more of the action. Whether you do a walking tour or just choose to embrace nature by strolling through some of the Peach State’s beautiful prized parks, walking shoes are a must-have for your weekend vacation.

Cell Phone and Charter

There will be a lot to take in so make sure that you have your camera ready. One good thing about the digital age is that every phone has a camera built-in to it, and everyone takes their phones around with them. Just make sure that you’re able to charge your phone at the end of the day. This way, you can wake up the next morning with a full battery and can fill up your phone with images of all the amazing things you see.

Sunglasses

Georgia is nothing if not super sunny. No matter what time of year you’re travelling, the sun always seems to be up in Georgia. If you’re going in the winter, you may experience some snow but you’ll still wish you had your shades to keep the sun out of your face. If you’re going in the summertime, any native of the southern U.S. will tell you the importance of having a good pair of sunglasses with you at all times.

Whether you’re going for a romantic getaway or an adventure full of family fun, weekend trips in Georgia can be a great way to spend a couple days. Knowing what to pack will help you be more prepared for anything the Peach State has to throw at you.
