What Price Are YOU Willing to Pay to Ignore YOUR Passion?

Like most people, your parents probably told you to do two things growing up:
Get your education and settle into a well paying job. It doesn't matter whether you like the job or not - like Nike says - "Just Do It"!
As a matter of fact I know a fellow that got a great paying job right after he finished high school, he worked at the same company until he retired, actually he took an early retirement - the problem - he hated every single day he was there, but the money was decent. Here is the real kicker, 2 years after he retired he was in a "freak" accident that took his life.
I thought about that long and hard - I didn't want that to be my situation.
9 of 10 people you ask will admit that … they feel unfulfilled by their work. Therefore what price are you willing to pay to ignore your passion or have something you do that fulfills your time and energy.
Take some time to reflect and if you want to consider options that can fulfill your passions. You have life experiences that can be leveraged to generate income: YOU just may not be aware of them yet. Blackmur GlobalYou may very well be correct Chuck - my premise for this is based on discussions with "offline" people I am associated with. They are unfulfilled for a variety of reasons, money, hours, duties, co-workers, upper management etc. Typically something in their 40+ hour work week causes them grief or issues that leads to their frustrations etc. I too know lots of people that are "happy" performing dollars for benefits from their employers - although I find that most are just "settling" with their existence and routine. As far as people taking some capital to direct towards a self-directed business, that indicates to me that they really aren't fulfilled or happy in their present employee - employer relationship. I definitely appreciate your comments Chuck - as I always do - it makes for some nice discussions..........oh and your book on Abundant Thinking - message me the information, I'd like to have a look at it if you don't mind. Cory, your stat may be a bit heavy mentioning 9 out of 10. Only those who have allowed society to creep in to their lives and operate with a negative mindset find themselves unhappy. I know Hundreds of people who feel great satisfaction from performing well in exchange for Dollars and benefits from their employers.
BUT many of them also take the Time, energy and a small amount of capital, in some cases, to CREATE their self-directed businesses.
