In this approach, hormones are taken to stimulate the ovaries for producing eggs. The eggs are picked very gently by the means of ultrasound guided trans-vaginal needle aspiration. Then they are placed in a dish with great number of sperm for fertilization where some of the eggs form embryos. These embryos can also be transferred back to uterus by the use of a plastic tube and they can also be stored for future transfer. Embryo implants itself in the uterus. In case of poor sperm quality, Intracytoplasmic sperm injection can be used where the doctor injects a single sperm into the egg.
