What is Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic retinopathy is one type of retinal problem. The retina is a layer of tissue in the back of your eyes. The retina is affected badly by Diabetic Retinopathy. It causes damage to the blood vessel. If you have diabetes the tiny blood vessels of the can deteriorate your eyes. There can be the growth of the abnormal blood vessels. Later it causes the retina to swell and makes your vision blur. In severe cases, it will lead to retinal detachment. There can be a sudden vision loss due to Diabetic Retinopathy. It does not occur especially to the patients who have good control of blood sugar.

Various modes of treatments are available for the treatment of Diabetic Retinopathy like vitrectomy which will prevent further muscular changes. The treatment of Diabetic retinopathy will be surgical treatment. But still, the primary treatment will be stabilizing the blood sugar level. It is really important to stabilize the blood sugar level.
