What Does Nicotine Do to Your Body

by Pradeep S. Digital Marketing Strategist

Every part of smoking is harmful. The combustion makes your body disintegrate from within each time you smoke. The fire can burn a whole building when left unattended. Its secondhand smoke can harm other people, including children and infants. The third-hand smoke it leaves can harm people just as much as secondhand smoke. Most people who quit smoking replace their tobacco cigarettes with other sources of nicotine because they say the nicotine is all they need. Did you know that nicotine is also deadly? Nicotine helps make tobacco cigarettes deadly in many different ways. Smoking is deadlier because of nicotine.

Poisoning

Direct application of nicotine on your skin can create irritation. It is painful to the mouth and the throat. When swallowed, it can cause dizziness, stomach ache, regurgitation, and diarrhea. Your blood pressure will also increase. You will breathe faster than usual. Fast breathing can give you hypothermia. Nicotine is a poison and is one of the most deadly poisons out there. Its effects are fast. When ingested, the first area of the body to be affected is the nervous system. You will tremble uncontrollably, spasm, and then you will collapse and get into a comma. It can progress into paralysis and failure of the lungs, which lead to death.

Killing You Softly

Even when absorbed in "harmless" amounts, nicotine can still be bad for you. It is as addictive as heroin. It can cause weight gain because it weakens your metabolism. It can help in the activation of cancerous cells. It contributes to the harmfulness of tobacco on the heart, increasing the heart rate and blood pressure. It can increase infection in the respiratory system, and even alter the function of the system to start respiratory disorders. Nicotine is also associated with an ulcer, helping the bad bacteria in the stomach. It can make you vulnerable to sicknesses by weakening your immune system. Nicotine is a harmful little devil.

Quit Through Nicotine-free E-cigarettes

You can quit smoking by switching to e-cigarettes. E-cigarettes are electronic cigarettes that are made to look like tobacco cigarettes and fashioned to be like tobacco cigarettes as much as possible. Most e-cigarettes are rechargeable, but some are disposable. E-cigarettes contain e-liquid, the liquid that is turned by the device into steam. The e-liquid has a variety of flavors that you choose from. Best tobacco e-liquid is the best option when you are coming from using tobacco cigarettes, but the goal is to choose an e-liquid that has no nicotine. E-cigarettes are used to quit smoking tobacco cigarettes because they are similar to tobacco cigarettes, but not harmful.

Quit Nutritious Food

Having a good diet is a good way to help yourself quit smoking. Chew on carrots or Caesar salad whenever you are having cravings. Fill your refrigerator with fresh vegetables, fruits, milk, juice, and a little bit of seafood. Cook your food, or buy cooked food from trusted stores. Make sure that the seafood you buy is caught in fresh water. Because seafood that comes from fish farms, captivity, and other unnatural seafood productions are lacking in nutrition. Seafood that was bred in unnatural environments can also contain harmful chemicals. Watch the things you eat and make sure they are nutritious.

Quit Exercise

Another good way to help yourself quit smoking is exercising. Take a daily exercise that will leave your body feeling good and looking good. As soon as you stop smoking, your body starts to return to its normal state. With exercise, you speed up your recovery and even get healthier than you were before. So walk instead of driving, take the stairs instead of the elevator, and clean your whole house often. There are many activities we do (and avoid) every day that are actually exercised. You can also get serious about building muscles by regularly going to the gym. If you want to make it more fun, take up a sport.

Smoking is deadly in every way. Each part of it can kill you, including the nicotine. Nicotine is a poison when applied to the skin or ingested. Even in small amounts, nicotine can cause a whole lot of mayhem inside your body. This is why you must quit smoking. There are many ways to quit.
