The scan can show a lot of information such as infections, injury, inflammation, tissue accumulation, seizures etc. The collected information can be recorded as a reference for future use.

Patients need to exercise caution before going for the test. It is advised that they drink a large amount of water and avoid any eatables for at least four hours before the test. Alcohol is strictly prohibited before the procedure. Imaging process can also help to locate if there is water stored in the brain as a side effect of some disease. Alzheimer’s, sclerosis, Parkinson’s’ disease can be detected via MRI scans. Problems in the pituitary gland are identified using the above imaging procedure.
