WHAT ARE USUALLY NOT INCLUDED IN INCLUDING AND BUILD WEBSITE

by Charlie Harry digital marketing company
SO YOU BITTEN BULLET AND SIGNED OFF ON A NEW WEBSITE OR WEBSITE REFRESH PROJECT WITH US OR ITS NEXT. FANTASTIC! QUESTION IS - DID YOU SEE all the inclusions PROPOSAL ON THE QUOTE OR WHEN SIGNING OFF?
Do you know exactly what is included and what is not, and therefore what you can expect from your company will be working with as part of the project and what you will have to work together yourself? It's important you do.

I have seen several social media posts over the years of people asking the group what is usually included and not included in the website build. In some cases they are reviewing quotes (so good they were) and in other cases they have been signed, and even at the stage Digital Marketing Agencies in Southampton of completion and potentially dissatisfied if the things that they think will get them really do not.

Similarly, we have had incidents of clients signing off on a quote or proposal (which we always take great pride in making quite a detailed list of all the inclusions as fully as we can) and then expect things to be included were never discussed, and of course not included in the quote at the final stage of the project.

Obviously no one likes conflict, so let's talk about what is normally included in the site build and what it normally does, although we do need to recognize that the range of inclusions per site per institution building and can vary quite a lot.

But in short, we strongly encourage you to read not only the inclusion of quotations or proposals you signed, but the terms and conditions of your contract will likely also will agree to at time of traveling forward.

Like any form of involvement of the service, this will form the basics of your agreement / base your involvement, which the company or person you choose to work with.

WHAT NORMALLY included in WEBSITE DEVELOPMENT
1 / INSTALLING YOUR WEBSITE UP ON THE SELECTED PLATFORM
Different companies use different platforms, but it is important you are aware that your website platform intended to be built on top before you sign, and that you check the suitability for your needs. We tend to build a website in WordPress, Shopify and sometimes.

2 / WEB DESIGN
Subject to the type of website you sign with us, we will help you choose a theme relevant if you are going for a simple look and feel for your website at the end of the budget scale, or, if you have more of a budget and want to achieve a custom look and feel in line with the style of your brand and these are discussed in the stage briefing, we will usually factor in the design mock-ups and even potentially the wire frame (wireframe is the layout of a web page that shows what the interface elements will be on the main page), you should approve it, and then integrate the look and feel to the site system.

If your quote does not mention the design of a mock-up or wireframes, suffice to say it was not possible to include them and your web designer will most likely use the theme and then modify the degree appropriate for your brand colors and fonts, but not much more.

3 / UPLOAD CONTENT & IMAGES
A major determining factor of your website generally how many pages it is and therefore how much content and how many shots will need to be uploaded to the meat of it. The more pages and images that need to be created and populated, the more expensive your site will be.

At our company, we will always determine how many pages of content your website development included in our quotation, and this generally will be scoped out on stage directing means we will help you decide on Digital Marketing Companies Southampton what pages will you need, what pages you can consolidate if you have an existing site and what pages are potentially even cut.
