Star anise is a type of fruit which generates from a small evergreen tree (tree name: Illicium verum) found in China. The tea can be prepared by steeping the whole fruit in a cup of hot water for about 10 minutes; straining the mixture afterwards and adding sweeteners if preferred.

4. Rose tea

Rose tea is considered to be the most ancient form of making flavoured teas. Fresh rose petals and the buds of the flower create a therapeutic effect over the human body. It further helps in purifying the skin and clearing toxins while providing the benefits of natural vitamins. The beneficial properties of this tea help in losing weight and also prevent constipation.

5. Oolong tea

Oolong tea acts as a guardian against obesity. Since oolong tea is considered to be semi-fermented tea, it is found to have a stronger effect than green tea in terms of losing weight. It helps in burning fat and reduces the cholesterol level in the human body. It is recommended that you must have an intake of 2-3 cups of oolong tea in the entire day to reduce weight.

6. White Tea

It proves to be an excellent measure for weight loss due to its medicinal and antioxidant properties. White tea consumers are often grateful for its low caffeine content. Hence, it is a perfect drink for the non-caffeine drinkers to consume whole day long, that too without risking your daily diet. It helps in accelerating metabolism rate in the body and burns away the excessive fat. A perfectly brewed cup of white tea would include its steeping time to be 4-5 minutes.
