We give your dreams a tweak of reality

by Pooja Late so cut

When it comes to the transforming of interiors space, we all need it and we all want a lot of it when it comes to our living arrangements. Nevertheless, as cities become more urbanized and more crowded, living spaces become smaller. Making the most out of a small apartment has become a real and constant challenge.

Fortunately, for us as individuals, many designers have mastered the art of transforming interiors that turn tiny living spaces into big, functional homes. Here is a rundown of modular transforming interiors that we all would want to live in.

If you have never hired a commercial Interior Designer in Mumbai to work with you on a decorating or remodeling project, you may be a little unsure of what to expect. After all, how difficult can it be to come up with ideas for a room layout and select all the components that make a space work? The answer – much harder than you may think!

The role of an interior designer can be best compared to an artist with a blank canvas. It takes an eye for detail, dimensions, color, perspective, placement, creativity, and a whole lot of experience to create a masterpiece from scratch. In the right hands and the right experience, that blank canvas can turn into a wonderful work of art. Sure, you could head down to the art supply store, pick up some pencils, paint and brushes and try to do the same yourself, but even with the best inspiration, you are unlikely to match the attention to detail and fine work that a professional artist can produce.

An interior designer directs and influences the look, the feel, the quality, and the functionality of the interior environments we move in every day. A good designer can have a truly transformative effect on a space – this is often shown on “home makeover” TV shows, and although the timeline may be exaggerated, the effect is real – a skilled interior designer can turn difficult spaces into attractive and useful living areas that were perhaps inconceivable before. As such, an investment made in interior design can have a significant multiplying effect on the value of a home, adding not only immediate benefit, but also long-term value.

Most interior designers in Mumbai have years of training and experience in examining a space, taking on board the functional requirement (e.g. workspace, family space, kids room, multi-purpose, etc.), and understanding what will make the space work. This involves many elements such as available natural and artificial lighting, structural and architectural themes and the owners’ personal tastes, and combining the right ingredients of available textures, flooring, furniture, window dressings, colors, and styles to achieve the desired effect.

Aside from experience, the main ingredient that a designer can offer is an up-to-date knowledge of available products to work with. Furniture, flooring and window design manufacturers are constantly innovating both in fashion and function, and a good interior designer is hooked into both mainstream and niche suppliers, knowing their product offerings and individual styles.
