Ways To Get Rid Of Puffy Eyes
by Rezaul Karim SEO expertPuffy eyes are a problem that a lot of people
endure. Most of us do not know the exact reason for the puffiness, normally
lack of sleep is considered to be the reason. The reason for puffy eyes can be
an underlying health condition, so you need to get yourself checked by a
physician to find out the cause. If puffy eyes occur without any health issues
or injury, then the reason can be just fluids trapped in the skin. The skin
below our eyes is the thinnest in the body and when fluids get trapped they
become bloated and puffy. A few ways to get rid of puffy eyes are given below:
Anti
aging moisturiser:
Yes, anti-aging moisturisers are known to
help reduce puffy eyes. However, make sure that the moisturiser uses natural skin care products and does not use any harsh chemicals. Apply the
moisturiser to the affected area and you will see the puffiness going away
slowly.
Sleep:
Sleep is
very essential for the overall health of our body. The eyes especially need
rest and if your eyes are puffy when you wake up it could mean that you are not
getting the required amount of sleep. A person needs at least 7 hours of sleep
every day, 8 hours of sleep is ideal. If fluids are getting trapped below your
eyes it could mean that your sleeping position is not right. You should sleep
with your head raised above your heart and this will help reduce puffiness by
not letting the fluids accumulate.
Drink water:
The benefit
of drinking water and staying hydrated is known to all. However, we do not
drink as much water as we need to and this can cause dehydration. Dehydration
leads to puffy eyes and hence you should limit alcohol intake too because
alcohol is known to cause dehydration. An important point to note is that one
should not go overboard by drinking lots and lots of water as it can cause harm
to the body. Also drinking too much water before sleeping can cause fluid
retention below the eyes.
Tea bags:
Tea bags
are known to get rid of puffy eyes. It does not matter whether it is green tea
or black tea, any tea can help. Tea has anti-inflammation properties which reduces the puffiness fast. Dip the tea bags
in hot water and let it cool for a few minutes and then place it on the eyes.
Let it stay for 15 to 30 minutes, you will find the puffy eyes vanish.
Cucumber:
Good old
cucumber has been used to cool the eyes for ages. The cucumber is also a good
treatment to reduce puffy eyes. Cut two round pieces of cucumber and place it
on your eyes. Let it stay for 30 minutes and you will find the puffiness
reduce.
Reduce salt in food:
Salt is known for fluid retention. If your intake of salt is high, it can cause puffy eyes. Hence, reducing salt intake can be beneficial in the long run.
