According to Formula 1, season world championships for both the driver (Lewis Hamilton) and constructor (Mercedes) have already been decided. Second place in the drivers' championship is secured by Nico Rosberg of Mercedes. Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari will remain in third in the championship for drivers, as will Ferrari in second and Williams in third for constructors in the season.

Nico Rosberg's wins in Mexico and Brazil, the most recent grands prix of the season, have given the German a sense of momentum in the eyes of fans with which to end the season and face the off-season break period. Asked by www.formula1online.net about whether he feels this as well, Rosberg noted, "For sure what you learn now you also learn for next year, but in the end momentum is nothing that you can conserve over weeks and months. And next year we will have a pretty new car over the winter, so many things change. But, of course, it is nice to end a season on a high. Who would doubt that?"

Asked about any advantages he may have over his teammate and what techniques or adjustments may be contributing to that, Rosberg agreed that that was a lot of crystal ball reading. "It’s very simple," he said, "I am faster now. Period."

The race at Yas Marina Circuit on Sunday marks the 19th and final round of the 2015 season. While last season the last race earned double points, that will not happen this year.
