Choosing Songs to Remove from iTunes

For deleting songs, navigate to the ‘iTunes Library’ and searching the songs or albums which you wish to remove. The steps are more tricky and more time consuming; therefore, if you follow the steps in the correct sequence will save lots of time and efforts. Here how to do it:

1.     Choose a song, tap on that song.

2.     Pick up multiple songs which appear near to each other, long press the ‘Shift’ key when you tap on the song you want to delete.

3.     To choose numerous songs at once, you need to long press the ‘Command’ key or press the ‘Control’ key.

4.     In order to remove the complete album, click the …icon appears near to the album title.

5.     To delete music files according to the artist, hit the three dots icon shows near to the name of the artist’s.

While you have chosen the items to remove or pressed on the three dots icon located on the iTunes screen, for this you need to do one of the following given things:

1.     Press the ‘Remove’ key on the keyboard.

2.     Navigate to ‘Edit’ menu and select ‘Delete’ tab.

3.     Right-press and select ‘Delete’ tab.

4.     Next, tap on the three dot icon located near to the items tab and hit the ‘Delete’ button to delete the songs successfully.

Steps to Remove Songs in iTunes Playlists

While seeing a playlist in iTunes, you wish to remove a song from within the iTunes playlists. Therefore, the process is quite different. And if you are following the steps already mentioned when you are in an iTunes playlist, the song is recently removed from the iTunes playlist, not from your PC. If you really want to remove a song from your hard drive, apply the below-mentioned steps in the same manner as discussed underneath:

1.     Choose songs which you wish to remove permanently.

2.     Press and hold ‘Option + Command + Delete’ at once.

3.     Alternatively, long press ‘Option + Control + Delete’  all together.

4.     Now, a pop window will appear on the screen; you need to select ‘Cancel’ or ‘Delete Song.’

Note: Choosing delete song option will remove the song from both your iTunes and library and from other compatible devices in which your account sync.
