Varied Types of Industrial Valves

5. Ball valve - This is similar to a gate valve in that it uses a linear motion of the throttle flow. This is different with the use of a pinch, not a nail. 6. Pressure valve - the design includes a disc mechanism and a cover made of cast rubber or synthetic material. The flow path is open. When the bar or gate is lowered, the flow is cut by flexible compression of the membrane.

7. Diaphragm valves - they work similarly to pressure valves. A flexible diaphragm is placed on the seat to protect itself and prevent overflow. Their advantage over pressure valves is that they form very dense seals and are therefore used in places where high purity is required.

8. Release and safety valves - As liquids pass through the system, there may be an unprecedented increase in pressure, which can be dangerous if left unchecked. This is especially true when working with hazardous fluids. Release and safety valves periodically release pressure when it exceeds a set point to prevent damage.

9. Check valves - check valves provide one-way fluid flow; They do not allow it to flow again. Non-pressurized pressure relief valves check the pressure rise and block the water hammer.
